HEKIMPOR / HEKIMEPS

An EPS product family that runs from building insulation to industrial applications

EPS (expanded polystyrene foam) is a lightweight, white, closed-cell thermal insulation material manufactured by expanding polystyrene raw material with pentane gas. We supply EPS boards and blocks manufactured under the HekimPor brand within Hekim Holding to our international customers as insulation components for our prefabricated building and cold room projects.

The production facility can manufacture EPS in the required density and thickness; in addition to white EPS, the product range includes carbon-enhanced EPS boards and blocks that improve thermal insulation performance. As approximately 98 per cent of the material consists of still, dry air, it offers low thermal conductivity and high insulation performance; it does not lose its insulating properties over time.

EPS contains no ozone-depleting gases, asbestos or substances harmful to human health, does not absorb water and is unaffected by pests. Its economical, lightweight and easy-to-work nature gives it a wide range of applications, from foundation, terrace, wall and roof insulation to light gauge steel prefabricated building elements.

Performance selectionBased on the CE / G declaration for the density and product type

Density, thermal conductivity and reaction-to-fire values are checked against the current declaration of performance of the selected product.

Key Advantages

  • A class B1 (flame-retardant) material

  • Provides excellent thermal insulation

  • Has low thermal conductivity

  • Withstands temperature differences

  • Does not absorb water and is unaffected by wet and damp conditions

  • Can be used for many purposes

Application Principles

Decide the product form and density according to the building detail it will be used in.

Product selection

Establish whether you need boards, blocks or moulded products.

Detail compatibility

Consider the insulation layer and the fixings together with the application system.
